30A Farmers’ Market

Since 2013, the 30A Farmers’ Market has provided fruits, vegetables, meats and almost everything else you would find at your regular supermarket. However, the products here are better since they are fresher and mostly organic. Founder Diane Kolopanas believes that everyone should have access to fresh and affordable foods free from preservatives and additives while at the same time reducing the carbon footprint of the modern food industry by acquiring food through local, sustainable sources. Throughout the year, the market is held in Rosemary Beach. However, Diane and her fellow organizers also hold a market in nearby Miramar Beach and across the Choctawhatchee Bay in Niceville, Florida as well.

Vendors & Goods

Naturally, just like many farmers’ markets around the nation, there is plenty of local produce such as fresh heirloom tomatoes and juicy, ripe peaches, but sometimes visitors will also find exotic fruits like the vitamin-packed jaboticaba, the lovely loquat or the odoriferous jackfruit. In addition to fruits and vegetables, the vendors sell baked goods, sweet treats, syrups, jellies and jams as well as organic meats which include the 100% grass-fed beef and free-range chicken from Sunset Ranch of Escambia Farms. Pick up some chips and guacamole from the Alligator Pear Chip Co. or grab a fermented drink at Noli South Kombucha, macarons at Dasha’s Cakery and at Black Jack Soap Company, organic toiletries. Moreover, don’t forget to check out the wide selection of olive oils from Galli International Foods and the health-food products at The Caveman’s Cupboard. Additionally, those who are in search of treats for their four-legged friends will find organic products and feed especially prepared for them.

30A Farmers Market Schedule

Every Sunday, the master-planned community of Rosemary Beach presents its market in the pursuit of feeding everybody who lives in South Walton County. The event takes place from 9-1pm at Barrett Square and when the market is over, take some extra time to explore the streets and shops around this community built on the architectural concept of New Urbanism. In Miramar Beach, there are two markets, one held each Wednesday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, then another in Sandestin every Saturday, year-round. In Niceville, the 30A Farmers Market takes place every Saturday throughout the year at the Palm Plaza Shopping Center. When visiting any of them, shoppers will always find friendly vendors, plenty of samples and local ‘only in Florida’ products.
