Big Bad Breakfast

It makes sense that for a big day, you need a big breakfast. And if you’re going big, why not go a little bad as well? That’s where Big Bad Breakfast comes in.

The Story of one of the Top Inlet Beach Restaurants

Founder and chef John Currence has nurtured a lifelong love for breakfast, growing up as he did in New Orleans surrounded by food. In opening Big Bad Breakfast, he sought to rediscover those childhood flavors and to create food that would live up to breakfast’s title of “most important meal of the day.” The restaurant’s name comes from the title of a short story collection written by a friend of Currence, Big Bad Love by the late Larry Brown.

Breakfast Options on the Big Bad Menu

Show up with your appetite, because there’s a lot that you can order. Hungry for a breakfast classic like pancakes or waffles, served with your choice or meat? Or perhaps you’re looking for a leaner (and meaner) big bad breakfast choice like avocado toast, sun-dried cranberries and almond granola with vanilla yogurt and fresh fruit, or steel cut oatmeal served with brown sugar and fresh berries.

And don’t neglect to check out the menu of Inlet Beach restaurants specialties, such as the “Riviera” skillet that consists of two eggs, Gulf brown shrimp, a jumbo lump of blue crabmeat, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes. Or the shrimp and grits, a dish made with sautéed Gulf brown shrimp, McEwen and Son grits, bacon, tomatoes, fried egg, and red-eye gravy.

Lunch Choices Available

Breakfast isn’t all the Big Bad Breakfast serves. Try The Screamin’ Demon sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich that Currence loves “like his first born child.” Or go for the Big Bad Burger for a deliciously fresh experience. Other sandwiches options include the Big Bad BLT, a turkey club wrap, a chicken salad sandwich, and a fish sandwich with the fish of the day. For those wanting to eat their greens, Big Bad Breakfast has a selection of salads available.
